A Health Coach is a supportive mentor and wellness authority who works with clients to help them feel their best through food and lifestyle changes. Instead of prescribing one diet or way of exercising, Health Coaches tailor individualized wellness programs to meet their clients' needs.

Relationships, exercise, career, and spirituality are just as important to your health as the food you eat. Health Coaches understand this and take a holistic approach to supporting the whole person. Find out how health coaching stacks up against other health and wellness jobs.

Almond Flour (Keto Friendly) Crackers

Prep Time

25 minutes

Prep Notes

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.

Cooking Time

10 minutes

Yields

6 Servings

Ingredients

1 Cup Shredded Raw (Cheddar) Cheese

1/2 Cup of Finely Grounded Almond Flour (If the flour you buy is coarse, you can finely ground it in a food processer)

2 Tablespoons of Psyllium Husk Powder

1/4 Teaspoon of Garlic Powder

1/4 Teaspoon of Onion Powder

Add a pinch of Pink Himalayan Sea Salt

Directions

  • In a saucepan, gently melt the cheese on a low heat setting.  Make sure you don't turn the heat up too high otherwise the cheese will burn and stick to the pan.
  • In a separate bowl, mix together all dry ingredients. (almond flour, psyllium husk, garlic powder, onion powder, sea salt).
  • Once the cheese is melted, slowly add the cheese into the mixing bowl of dry ingredients.
  • Begin to slowly mix all ingredients together and start the kneading process with your hands.
  • Gently knead the cracker mixture for about 5 minutes until you have smooth dough.
  • Once the dough is smooth, grab a rolling pin and begin to roll the dough out between 2 sheets of parchment paper.
  • For a crispy cracker, you will roll the dough as thin a possible.  For a dense cracker, you can keep the dough a bit thicker.
  • Remove the top layer of parchment paper and cut the crackers into squares.  It is best to use a pizza cutter during this process.
  • Place the crackers in a baking pan with parchment paper.  Make sure the crackers are well separated and not touching.
  • Bake in the oven for 6 minutes until slightly browned around the edges.
  • After 6 minutes, turn each cracker over and continue to bake for a few more minutes until edges are browned on backside.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool for 5-10 minutes.
